Saturday's Scores: Eagles Survive

Saturday's Scores: Eagles Survive

April 8th, 2017 General News | Concordia | Sierra Nevada

There was some decent action on Friday night, but today, Saturday, April 8, should be a dandy with 49 total games going off.

There are 26 games listed on the Division II schedule/scores page, with a key game happening in Reno.

No. 2 Concordia-Irvine and No. 11 Montana State tangled in a contest that could shape the seeding structure at nationals and the Eagles took home a narrow, 12-10 win in Reno.

The Battle for San Diego went to the Toreros, 8-3.

In one of the bigger upsets in Division II, UNC-Charlotte took down No. 21 and previously undefeated App State, 12-8. The win locked up the SELC Northwest title for the 49ers and a bid to the conference tourney.

On the Division I side, there are 25 contests listed on the schedule/scores page. There was a big one in Salt Lake City with No. 1 in the RMLC on the line. The Utes ended up on a top in an impressive 2-0 weekend for them.

No. 6 Cal Poly coasted past No. 24 Sonoma State in a WCLL tilt, 23-13.
